Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do you accept insurance?
Yes! We are happy to share that all of our therapists accept most Colorado Medicaid plans (we are happy to confirm your plan specifically). Additionally, some therapists are able to accept most major private insurances (United, Cigna, Blue Cross, Anthem, Aetna, etc.)
Please note that not all therapies are treated equally by insurance companies, so insurance does not cover Reunification Therapy or Therapeutic Supervised Visitation.
-
What if I can't use insurance?
That is perfectly okay! Our skilled therapists have a cash pay rate that allows quality therapy to become accessible, even without insurance.
We’re also happy to provide a Superbill which can be submitted to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement for out-of-network benefits
-
How much is therapy?
That’s a tricky question to answer in one sentence because each type of therapy and the therapist providing care will have a different rate, not to mention the variations if insurance is used.
The short answer is that with insurance, it’s the cost of your co-pay. Without insurance, therapy sessions costs range from $50-$175. We also offer a sliding scale fee for those who qualify. Reach out to us directly for more information, and we will be able to answer this based on your specific needs.

How do I know which therapist is best for me?
Did you know that the client-therapist relationship contributes to 80% of the efficacy of therapy? That’s why we offer free consultations to find what your needs are before you have a session. Head over to the contact page to request a consultation!

I see there are graduate student therapists on staff. Will that impact the quality of my therapy?
Nope! At Allied Family Therapy and Wellness, we strive to have exceptionally talented therapists across the board. Our student therapists have already completed hundreds of hours of clinical training, have ongoing supervision to continue to hone their skills, and bring absolutely valuable work and personal experience to the session.
